Kekuli Bay Cabinetry is 100% Canadian-owned and operated. Our team of experienced designers, skilled craftspersons, and dedicated staff work closely with clients to turn ideas into high-quality cabinetry. Many team members have been with us since the early days, contributing hands-on expertise and consistency.
Under the leadership of new owners Maarten Koorn and TJ Weidema, we continue to blend proven craftsmanship with modern technology to deliver precise, well-built cabinetry. Manufactured in Canada with a focus on quality, detail, and service, we’re a trusted partner for homeowners, builders, and renovators across the Okanagan and beyond.
Canadian-built since day one, our story began in 1998, when founder Ed Huber launched Huber’s Heritage Furniture Inc. in Salmon Arm, BC, specializing in hand-built solid wood furniture. By 2004, the company had grown into one of BC’s largest handcrafted furniture makers.
In 2005, Ed expanded into cabinetry, opening a new facility in Vernon that quickly became a leader in Canadian cabinet manufacturing. With a focus on precision equipment and streamlined processes, Kekuli Bay Cabinetry earned a strong reputation for quality and reliability – one that continues to define us today.
Kekuli (sʔístkn) refers to a traditional winter home built by Indigenous peoples of BC’s Interior. Our name is inspired by the enduring values these homes represent: shelter, gathering, and connection.

With 20+ years in kitchen design & sales, including 10 years working for a cabinet hardware distributor, I bring a deep understanding of both creativity and knowing about new and trending products in the kitchen industry. My focus is listening to the client and creating a functional and stylish kitchen to suit your unique needs. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family while getting out and enjoying nature.
I’m an Interior Design graduate with a Cabinetmaking certificate from BCIT and have been designing kitchens since 2012. I believe a kitchen should be as functional as it is beautiful—form must follow function. My projects range from entry-level developments to high-end custom homes. Outside of work, I love paddleboarding, camping, and spending time with my family outdoors.
Hi, I’m Steve Manning! For the past 20 years, I’ve been bringing kitchens to life—designing spaces that blend style, function, and personality. But when I’m not designing dream kitchens, you’ll find me immersed in my other passion—writing and playing music. Whether it’s composing melodies or shaping spaces, creativity is at the heart of everything I do.
With a decade of experience in design, I bring a visionary approach to every project. As a strategic creative, I don’t just design spaces—I shape environments that elevate and inspire, crafting personalized solutions that blend bold functionality with refined style.
I’m a kitchen and bath designer with 3+ years of experience creating functional, stylish spaces. With a Diploma in Interior Design Technology, I blend creativity and technical skill to deliver designs that enhance everyday living. From space planning to 3D renderings, I guide each project with care, ensuring results that are beautiful and built to last.. Outside work, I love mountain biking and snowboarding with my family.
With 9 years as a cabinetmaker, I bring a practical and functional approach to my cabinetry designs. I enjoy creating custom and quality products that suit your everyday needs. My goal is to ensure your vision comes to life with professionalism and care. After hours, I enjoy floating in the lake and renovating my home.
